Coffee Series #3: Guest Post: Brett Knapp's Butta Coffee

It's the latest coffee craze! Adding butter to your coffee is the new, kind of controversial, hot trend, and is supposed to have amazing benefits, not least of which is a huge boost in energy above and beyond what simple coffee on its own can do. Personally, I was skeptical at first, but then my sister was like, "Dude, this stuff is legit" (because that's how she talks all the time), and so instead of trying it myself, I drafted her to tell us all about adding butter to coffee. So here it is! My sister, Brett Knapp, ladies and gentlemen... For those of you who know me, I can barely form a sentence until I’ve had my morning coffee. When asked how I like my coffee, I respond with “Beyoncé colored” (I believe if I drink Beyoncé coffee I can channel her throughout the day), which basically means a bunch of Coffeemate. English Muffins

My husband and I love English muffins. This is a deep and abiding love. A love that borders on obsession. A lot of times, on days when I am not at home, my male counterpart will consume nearly an entire package of muffins. They are delicious. The sourness of the dough. The crunch of the toastiness. The way the little nooks and crannies catch whatever spread is placed upon it. They are frequently used to make homemade Egg McMuffins. In fact, I plan on devoting a post to those homemade Egg McMuffins quite soon. They are that good. But usually, the English muffins are topped with nothing but plain ol' butter. But there isn't anything plain about this butter. It's Land O'Lakes * Whipped Butter. Salted of course. To my mind, there is no point to butter unless it is salted.
